≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

    After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

    This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

    Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Okay. So after recent events involving a captured player in Monroe’s jailhouse killing themselves while none of the captors were online... I’m requesting a rule change (more like an addition) that specifies that captors must be online for a victim to attempt suicide. Honestly just that fact this has to be specified is ridiculous in my opinion but here we are. I’m gonna cut this short before I Get angry and start to rambling.

After discussing it with the other admins, this technically is already included in the rules. In a sense, death is an escape. I made a specific note stating it's not allowed if your captors are offline, though.

I mean we're all grumbling and quelling our anger, but honestly? It's not worth the hassle. Just wanted to make sure it was clear in the rules so it wouldn't happen again.
