Closed Player event

Hello! I am thinking about organize a player event mostly focused on bringing new players to play and join the RP but also open for - most of - old characters.

My idea is about a supply run through Silverton, focused on fuel and/or food but running at some point into a group of people/scavengers or something of the like. Perhaps some less big like 3 or 4 wanderers? I don't plan it to be something big or plotting but a good introductory group RP session for new people - as stated before.

So yeah, thats my idea pretty much. I would like to know what you all think and how it better works given this is the first time I try to organize an event.

Hi Seryei,

Player events are usually a donation perk. I could be wrong on that front, but that is what I remember.

Of course, there is nothing stopping you from organizing a raid/RP yourself, however, without admin controlled enemies.

Oh, I thought those kind of events were like personal events, completely focused on one person/character. This is more of a community thing, with which I would need some help to make it interesting x)

I double checked and I was working with wrong information. Please accept my apologies.

If you want to run an event, go ahead, I'll volunteer to oversee it if the time works to make sure everything goes smoothly, but there are some caveats.

1. This will be mostly your show in this regard. I'll be standing by, and I might throw a couple of enemies at you, but this is mostly on your own initiative.
2. I've been informed that Silverton has been mostly picked clean IC, so you might want to rethink the destination.

Oh. Damn... Then I will have to think of another location... But the entire map is picked clean at this point. I accept suggestions, not going to lie x)

Aright I got an idea. What if we would go to certain areas and make rolls to get supplies based on the kind of building we are in? Like, the same we did during the CPF event in which we asked 'is there X in this corpse/crate/thingie?' and then we rolled and the DM said 'no' or 'yeah, there is this and that'. How does that sound?

With all due respect, I would appreciate a little bit more of help at trying to put together a bit of a dynamic event to bring new players in. Loot just doesn't exist in the map so the idea of a supply run with supplies is just... off, to say the least.

Huh.. Am I going to get any detailed explanation about why am I not getting help trying to boost the server's activity other than the mother's star response, 'no'? Should I ask other admins about this or..? I am just trying to do something good for the community that doesn't require too much effort, and is not like I am asking for something crazy after all ?

And I'm telling you "No, I won't spawn in items for you."

As I said, you are welcome to run your event, just don't expect me to start manefesting items from thin area from an area that has, ICly, already been raided.

What if we would go to another area that is less looted, like the north?

Edit: Forgot to mention is not 'spawn out of thin air', is based in dice rolls where a 15 might be three cans of food cause the area is looted and a 20 might be, idk, 1/3 of gas or 10 bullets cause the area is indeed looted. But as said, there is less looted area.

Could I perhaps get a second opinion from another admin member like Exile, Lil or Pika? The former and the later said a while ago they were up to run things for people if I recall correctly, although it is understandable if this would have changed.

The answer is no, and will remain no.

Silverton is established in-character to be empty. We can't spawn in items for you, dice rolls or not, and break immersion just because you're running an event. Remember that we're 14 years in. Nearly one and a half decades. There's going to be little to nothing around.

This goes for anything else too, really. We won't spawn in loot for players. It's unfair. That opinion isn't going to change regardless of which admin you ask.

Admins will help players run their events, to an extent, but ultimately it's still a player event.

Aright. This discards completely the supply run player event. To which extend would admins be able to help make a similar event interesting? I can come up with ideas with a similar concept so knowing this would be good to know and help me figure out the best options.

When you want us to spawn in free stuff for you. We are not going to do that. I've told you that several times, and Pika has now had to tell you that we won't do that.
