≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

    After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

    This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

    Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Char tile position might've synched weird, or somethin'. Requesting a backup load, if it's all good. Items should be there, mayhaps if I can just drop/toss the backup load's gear and swap.

Is your character still alive? Do you need a heal, or just permission to respawn?

You have permission to respawn and grab your stuff. If you need a heal, please feel free to DM me on discord.

And for future reference, please provide your character name in ticket requests, as funny as "Mercedez Benz Airmatic Suspension, Class-C" is (and I did chuckle), it is kinda important since I had to go back and look up that you play John Smith. At least, I assume this is for John as you do not play any other characters, correct?

And yikes, yeah--I didn't think that one through. Looking back, it's essentially a ticket with zero information, sans car picture (lol).
I'm sorry about that, it was pretty careless on my end from the get-go. Thank you a ton for taking up the ticket request in the early a.m., too, good Christ.

John is my only character, yep. Unfortunately, the car did squash him completely: It's a respawn request. I think my backup save is from several weeks ago, but skill levels, recipes, etc. should be the same.

Let me know if you need me to get your skills back to where they were, but yes, John is allowed to respawn.
