Biography
Born in Lyon in 2003, Élise’s parents were french - parent - and russian - mother. They had quite the amount of money and so they were constantly moving between homelands to visit the family, holidays or even full years. This, for a kid, is not a good way of living. Her friendships were intermittent and she never had permanent friends except her sister and brother.
This childhood permitted her to learn from both cultures and learn both languages, russian and french. The money also bought her the english at a young age. Her parents were the expecting type and so they expected from her to be good at everything, placing a lot of pressure on Élise. Such a childhood had to do with how she has turned out for sure.
At the age of 14, the Oculurubrus got loose and bluntly finished her life as she knew it. The event caught her and her family in Arkhangelsk, where her grandmother resided. It was then that her family joined the Union of Arkahngelsk given it was the logical choice in order to survive such a pandemy ( from now on, any lore-related questions about the Union should go to Holt ). Although they all became loyal followers of the Union’s leader Sokolov given how much of a caring leader he was for his people, as well as a march taken down to the South: to the Black Sea.
During this march her family managed to stay together and survive. She picked up some traits about their respective professions too - military mechanic and politician ( mostly the speeching and treating people the way they want part). For this though, they had to change their mindset: Now they weren’t over anyone, money was not a thing anymore. One more among many is what they were.
About to be 17, the long migration south reached the coasts of the Black Sea. Once at the Black Sea and during the process of taking on an old USRR battlecruiser, the Mikhail Kutuzov, as well as other ships to be commanded and equipment to keep, both their parents ran out of luck and faced a destiny worse than dead. Their loss devastated the siblings but, if there was one who was specially affected, was Élise. She got the load of taking care of her grandmother and her younger sister on her shoulders. Educating and teaching her sisters was quite a challenge given her own limited knowledge as a teen, so she ended up focusing on teaching her useful things for the future, like basic english, russian, the basics of maths... On the other hand, her older brother took care of their needs within the fleet: brought them food, worked extra for the rest of the family members… both of them got the heavier burdens.
But she did not give up. Élise began to read books and learn about anything deemed useful in her little free time: first aid, cooking, fishing… she picked up a bit of everything and even had the opportunities to try. Most important, she began to write all the news she heard about as well as the ones her sibling brought with him. Searching between her grandmother’s belongings - how inappropriate, needs to be said - she found an old analog camera. An old Zenit back from the URSS. Upon asking her grandma, she told her everything she needed to know about it as well as gave her a hand-written book full of notes, schemes, needs… everything needed to be able to take photographs and reveal them.
That's when she decided to change the course of her life and opened the first newspaper in the fleet. Arkhangelsk News- but in russian ( Новости Архангельска). Although the idea began as hand-written papers placed on the deck’s noticeboard, with some occasional picture she would manage to poorly reveal, the newspaper got to the heart of the people and soon she would began to gain notoriety among the ship, getting resources from the managers to increase the size and the production of the newspaper. She was provided with a manual copier that worked with a circular lever, as well as a dark room and chemicals to reveal pictures.
Her status began to increase slowly as the newspaper became bigger. It began to reach the rest of the ships of the fleet, including the mothership, and have more workers other than Élise and, occasionally, her grandmother. When she reached the age of 20, she was drafted into the “Druzhina”, the combat force of the fleet, after a year of training like any other younglings. In her case she was drafted late, something she was thankful of. She had to put the Arkhangelsk News to a side for some time, leaving it in the hands of her siblings - she didn’t trust her own employees to do it right, and even had her reserves about her siblings.
During her time in the Druzhina, the fleet reached the US and had her first encounter with the people of this post-apocalyptic wasteland. Élise was there. Although showing promise at first, their first contact with the people of america, A cult in New England, went poorly. The end times had not been kind to the people of America, causing horrors and pagantry beyond even the most vile of horrors seen in the old world. The cult was exterminated at the price of setting the Union of Arkhangelsk on a “kill them all” mindset regarding North America and Canada.
Of course this shocked her as well but not as much as it did to the commanders of the fleet and the religious authorities. She thought that not all the people there turned into satanist savages… but if there were people like that in the world… better be very cautious about the rest of the population. She was comprehensive with the commanders’ orders from now on: they only had themselves in those lands and they needed to settle somewhere. The final goal was clear.
During her life with the float she has done many things, both on land and sea. Killing, torturing, pillaging… blackmailing, sinking and raising reputations, dishonesty… but she has little to no regret. The things she has done, she has done them for herself, her family, her people and the Union. The only choice for a better future is with the Union of Arkanngelsk. Of course there are things from her past that disturb her as well as twist her mind… but then again, who hasn’t.
Almost 4 years ago her abilities were deemed useful in “enemy territory” and she was sent into the CPF main territory ( Pittsford, Fairpoint, main ranger bases, any other important spots or cities, etc ) to compile information about them. She managed to establish herself as a journalist for the CPF Daily, gaining influence and notoriety within CPF territory and with the important political figures of the faction - ie: Governors, Ranger chiefs ( Like Larue Monroe ), inspectors, etc - while also getting fistful of useful contacts of all sorts.
These two years have been focused on passing all this information about the CPF to the Union, the last hit being held in Boston during a deal between the CPF and the salvagers there in which the Union managed to plunder and loot weaponsmithing machinery that was going to be exchanged to the CPF.
But now Élise has received two things: a new location, Monroe, and a partner to accompain her: Lux Bleau.

-A bit of ammo for the Makarov.
-A switchblade.
-A manual copier (it could be done by renaming a manual roller like that or giving the furniture that looks like it).
-Some food and water for a few days for two persons.
-Around 2500c.
