Chief Ranger Larue Monroe
He is clean of most dirt, most of his people look up to him. The only story circulating around is his last encounter with the town of Monroe where he threatened to bomb them with artillery after the assassination of George Dowell. There is another story that he apparently beheaded a man -- Conrad Miller -- the person responsible for orchestrating the attacks.
William Kozuch (Ranger Trainer)
There isn't a lot circulating in the wind in regards to him aside from a few minor complaints about his flirtatious behavior toward (certain) women in Ranger command.
Dwight Kilean (Ranger Quartermaster)
Quite a bit is easily dug up on Dwight Kilean. Despite being one of the biggest benefactors of The Coalition and being behind almost all of their refurbished weapons, custom tech, and armor, a few people have spoken out against him. He allegedly partakes in a slew of drugs ranging from cocaine to weed. He has been in numerous scandals over the years (soliciting prostitution) and public indecency. There are also rumblings of him hosting an underground illegal fight club amongst Rangers for purposes of betting. Shadier characters have made claims Dwight buys equipment from criminals and often tasks a few of his most trusted rangers to hold up communities and caravans for additional scrap.
Councilman George Dowell
George Dowell was assassinated by Conrad Miller of Monroe several months ago. He has the easiest to access records, given lips are looser surrounding dead men. While most of his public appearances were made with sweetened words and promises of better times ahead, Dowell is noted by several individuals as being a notorious liar. Apparently, Dowell was sent to Monroe with the mind of forceful colonization. luring them into a raw deal. There are other rumblings of his activity in several sex scandals over the years with him being a frequent customer to Pittsford's underground "Flesh Markets" in the slums.
Councilman (Dr.) Leclair Mercier
Leclair Mercier stepped into the recently vacated shoes of George Dowell a few months ago. Since his arrival on the council, he has served dutifully by making concerted efforts to appeal to those within the slums. Dr. Mercier has allegedly made attempts to institute new programs to help impoverished individuals within the cities. However, plenty of rumblings have emerged in regard to his past -- one's with little evidence to support them. An individual claiming to have known Leclair from before the apocalypse has willingly spoken to Recorder and made mention that he actively murdered his wife prior and was on his way to prison. Who knows whether or not it is true?
Theresa Kali
While not an official member of any governmental branch of The Coalition, she is a noted entrepreneur and owner of Kali's Trade Emporium within Pittsford. A few disgruntled ex-employees and slummers have spoken up in regards to her behavior and relation with The Coalition as one of the sole suppliers of equipment to the Rangers. They allege she has broken countless laws; experimented on infected; endorsed slavery; sells to raider groups and dumps a substantial amount of money into local criminal organizations to egg the continued support of the Flesh Markets on. There are not many good words about her name, yet she thrives. Many are certain it is because of her relationship with the Rangers.
