Josh is self-sufficient above all else, valuing it in highest regard. He is strange, though, isolation takes its toll on even the most stalwart of men, and Josh is not the most stalwart of men. He is warm hearted, and quick to trust. He is eager to please, whatever it may be. He is quiet and patient, focused.

Josh feels he must give back what he took, he wants to do good, to heal others, to keep them from going down the same path as he.
Physical Appearance
Tall and sturdy, like the trees. Messy brown hair cut without skill, and stubble along the face, beard kept at bay to preserve the memory of childhood. Tanned but still light skin. Eyes brown like fresh dirt.

Biography
Joshua Pickett was 15 when it started, visiting grandparents at the time. He tried to keep his elderly family safe, but he was just a boy. He turned to others for help, he begged and stole, worked for who he could when he could, but it was not enough. By the 3rd year both his grandparents had died of natural causes. The grief of the losses and the guilt for what he had become, a thieving scoundrel, no better than a roving bandit, it pushed him to isolation. He sought repentance for what he had done, and walked deep into the woods to find salvation. He grew accustomed to the quiet, the birds chirping sounding a morning, the scurrying of rodents in the underbrush, the smell of the first after heavy rain, and in time he grew to love it. It was his home, his family. It fed him, clothed him, offered him protection, and saved his soul. Now, 14 years in isolation, he is ready to rejoin society.
