First off, I feel like I haven't really said it yet, but the election was a pretty good idea. Props for coming up with something to move things along that's got a good chance of turning things around, in a way that's also natural to the current storyline. And an extra thanks too, for listening to my wish of having the work we've already put into all this matter as well. :)
It's no problem, y'all played plenty of part in coming up with the idea yourselves. I do want to offer a genuine apology for not getting to this ticket earlier. We've been overloaded with work the past week with the new season and a bunch of big builds, plus the holidays coming up IRL. It's been hectic and I haven't had as much time as I'd like!
One is a rundown of all the NPC's in Monroe that Terry would realistically know. Her knowledge is based on the fact that she's lived in Monroe a long time now (meaning she'll know the old residents) and that she's been information hunting/keeping her eyes and ears open the last few weeks (so she might have picked up stuff about the newer residents.)
Terry wants to speak to the people's needs and wants in her campaign, and my request is to be provided with as much info in this regard about each NPC as you think is fair. I leave it up to you to decide what's appropriate.
There are obviously a lot of people in Monroe, I could be here for hours going into each and every single one of them. I'll also be honest, a lot of them were created by other players to fill space in the town. I'll trim it down a bit and give you a list of named characters who have appeared in previous events, light backgrounds, things about them you'd know, and also treat this as an A-NPC request and create a few new ones for the sake of offering more quest/intrigue potential.
* Nathan Coleman
A forty-one-year-old peacekeeper. He is a long-time resident of Monroe who enlisted in the security team during Julian Carmichael-Ortiz's tenure as minister. Terry and Nathan have no doubt come across one another in passing before. He has a wife, and two kids (sons; aged 8 and 19 respectively). He participated in numerous battles in the conflicts against the Miller family. He was outspoken during Max Stone and Henry Patton's attempt at a coup as being for peace with the Millers, for fear of his children being roped into conflict, or seeing more needless death. He isn't an ardent supporter of Chen, nor the Millers, but idealistically prefers the way of life without war. Currently working as a peacekeeper under Preston Hand.
* Rosita Acevedo
A twenty-six-year-old resident. She was a former member of the security team under Crystal Chen's tenure as minister. A few complaints were lodged in aginst her during her time on the team, for brutality and cruelty to outsiders, a complaint that long went undressed by Max Stone. She has no known family in Monroe and was a newer resident who found the town during the late portion of Constantine's tenure as minister. She resigned from her position as an officer after Max Stone and Henry Patton's attempt at a coup. She is an outspoken and ardent supporter of Crystal Chen, believing her to be the only reason Monroe is still kicking. Currently working as a part of the construction crews.
* Aiden
A twenty-five-year-old resident who became a citizen during Julian's tenure. He was originally a member of one of the scouting teams, resigning after escaping capture by the Miller Family. Aiden was the scout who managed to get back to Monroe to warn Constantine and the others about those captured in Vermont. He has since suffered some psychological issues -- PTSD -- from the encounter. He is vehemently against Crystal Chen and her administration due to the alliance with the Miller Family. Currently working as part of the construction crews.
* Eugene & Faith
Fifty-six-year-old and fifty-one-year old residents who became a citizen during Julian's tenure. He's a farmer, regularly seen attending church alongside his wife,
Faith who helps with the production of canned and jarred food items. They've been long-time friends of Anthony Wilson, who Eugene has worked with for his entire residency in town. He has largely taken over most of the crop production since Anthony has outwardly put his name in the hat for the role of minister. Neither he nor his wife has attended any of the town meetings since the death of Julian and Arlo Gray, but their viewpoints are known. Additionally, Eugene was a regular at Constantine's Butcher Shop. They do not support Crystal and Preston's administration and are against the alliance with the Millers.
* Natalia
A thirty-one-year-old resident who acquired her citizenship under the tenure of Job. She was brought back by one of his ordered scouting expeditions to Ohio. She's one of two physicians in the clinic, regularly seen attending town meetings in silence. She hasn't been outspoken on her personal beliefs on any of the current happenings in Monroe and has primarily focused on her work. She doesn't seem to mind working with Dr. Harlan Parati, a civilian worker brought by the Millers to aid with the pre-existing medical crisis in Monroe after the loss of the last doctor.
* Dr. Harlan Parati
A forty-seven-year-old member of the Millers. It's unknown whether or not he became a member of the group willingly, or is one of the few slaves being used in private under the threat of death. He is a physician brought from their community base by Miller lieutenant, Beth, prior to the destruction of their home base at the hands of the Coalition. He hasn't had any problems working with the community and has been all about health outreach with most of the other clinic workers, preparing for the inevitable flu season, and sourcing medication from other communities. He has largely kept to himself but has been pleasant in brief encounters -- an unusual trait for someone involved with the group he is.
* Vince
A twenty-three-year-old resident who acquired his citizenship under the tenure of Constantine. He was brought back along with his older brother,
Zachary, during a scouting expedition ordered by Zed. He is an aid in the clinic, helping with nursing duties, moving immobile patients, and checking in on the sick. Both he and his brother have attended meetings, where both have been outspoken as being against the Millers wholeheartedly. They claim to have been victims of one of their roadside robberies, which caused the death of their sister.
* Zachary
A twenty-five-year-old resident who acquired his citizenship under the tenure of Constantine. He was brought back with his younger brother,
Vince, during a scouting expedition ordered by Zed. He is doing labor-work in the crop-fields during farming seasons, tilling fields and tending to the animals, while also maintaining some degree of activity with the construction crews. He is outspoken against the Millers, same as his brother. He, himself, is a bit antisocial to other citizens, unlike his far more sociable brother.
My second request is to have Terry and Anthony meet. As soon as Terry heard he's running as well, she's been interested in meeting with him to see how much their interests align. She should have some knowledge of Anthony already, if only in passing, seeing as they've both lived in Monroe at the same time.
Both he and Terry have no doubt exchanged pleasantries in the past, even if just in passing. Anthony is the former Head of Agriculture in Monroe, having worked under both Julian and Job before being removed from his position during the reforms by Constantine Hasapis. He is married to a woman named Ruth, who has been suffering from dementia and other ailments for the past year. Both of them were outspoken, out-going, and friendly members of Monroe for a while. He disappeared from the political scene for a spell to care for her.
He was close to the late Arlo Gray and Conrad Miller, both of which who were killed by the Coalition during the brief bit of conflict Monroe had with them. Terry has likely heard stories of Anthony's battle with alcoholism during the early portion of his time in Monroe, where he was apparently a violent drunk who managed to recover from it, a bit of a stain in his otherwise generally clean record. Both he and his wife currently live in the house behind the park.
We can do a scene together over Discord, or in-game at some point! It may be more convenient over Discord since we have a bit of a time-zone difference. Just throw me some opening emote either there, or I'll try and catch you on the server later on.
