Biography
Birth:
Max was born on the 26th of August 1991, North England, Leeds. His father who was in the army, did not attend his birth, was a firm man, dedicated to order and discipline,His mother, who he much preferred was a nurse at the hospital he was born in, she was always working long shifts and didn't get to spend much time with her beloved son. Max quickly learned to look after himself,with his mom constantly at work he had to teach himself to talk, walk, read, write, shit and piss, trying everything he could to keep alive, for the first 3 years of his life he was practically looked after by a different babysitter every week. Never really knowing who was who and having a loving face to call home.
Child Hood:
After the first three years of his life had been and gone, Max’s father finally returned home from active duty… his mind… completely shattered, from the horrors of war he had witnessed and faced. Most nights Max could hear his father's screams as the nightmares flooded his mind as he tried to rest. This worsened quickly for Max, his father broken and lost turned to alcohol to try to null the pain he endures pushing it quickly on his wife and child. He quickly learnt not to show sadness, weakness or pain, Enduring through the hell of his father’s fist he learnt fast how to tend to the wounds with the help of his mother. Max loved school, it seemed to be the only place he was truly free, he was a smart boy top of his class on most subjects always trying to stay just that bit longer so he didn't have to return to the nightmare of his house. The worst days were when his mother had to stay extra long on call, leaving max alone with his father. He used to come up with ways to keep away from his father sometimes having to barricade his door to keep him at bay.
Teen life.
Max’s sixteenth birthday comes and goes, his father still the worthless piece of shit he always has been to max. The beatings were minor nowadays but some days his father would flip like a switch, becoming a machine of pain and torment to his only child. Max spent as much time as he could at school, learning more and more about medicinal studies, he figured since he knows so much already it was the only possible answer to what he could do, not to mention every minute away from home… the better. Max hadn't seen his mother in years. The police said she ran away, but he never believed it.
Adult life.
On Max’s 18th birthday, he left his house behind, not even a second thought went into this decision, he went straight to college and med school. Spending every minute he could studying, He didn't make a lot of friends but college being college he needed to make money, taking the skills he gained from his past and turning a profit on them… plus.. He needed the practice. He became known as The Fixer. Patching up those who would prefer to stay in the dark keeping their Identities a secret, he did not care what or who they were as long as they paid, and damn the money was good. Almost paid a full year of tuition in less than 3 months. On his 21st birthday he entered med school deciding to leave behind his Fixer life and focus on his doctorate. Delving into his studies a few years pass, and he finally becomes Dr Max Garrick MD
The first day of his internship arrived aged 25 he knew it was going to be a long road ahead. Broke almost homeless, he knew he needed money again… He got in contact with his former… acquaintances and The Fixer Returned, Only working for those who could afford it. As time went on he decided to leave his internship and continue on with his side work, Things were great, he wasn't scared to turn someone away.... showing weakness equals pain… A few years pass, working alongside several gangs. He was contracted to go to go somewhere... no questions asked.. just go fix them come back... seemed simple enough. Heading straight for his only job.... it was too late... the patient had passed... the flu... so strange.
The Past 14 Years
Max has moved around a lot staying out of trouble doing what he can to survive. He met people... People who became what he called family in this Doomed world, He never knew he could care for someone as much as he cared for them.... but that is all over now, Everyone he came to love, taken from him..... Why he didnt see this coming he didnt know in the end... It always does. He's been moving ever since, Not taking a moment to stay, to feel again. Why would he?
