≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

    After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

    This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

    Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Biography

Zoe Reina born 6.2.2012. Three years later the tragedy began. Her parents had to keep her alive. They are cubans living in Texas when all this happened, they first lenguage is Spanish. The big cities was the first to down, the goverment tried to save the people but it can't be, only the little communities survived a few years more then all texas was lost. They have to live like nomads without home, Zoe grew up grappling with the dead, she understood that she have to fight for her life, so Zoe learned when run, when be silent and when kill...
....one day they ran a radio....one safe place Monroe County, New York. The travel started one more time, now 2028 Zoe and her family go for a new hope of live......
Many days passed and in the camp all spoken... we are really near, just to more nights and we be there.....but nobody imagined....a big horde of zombies attack they little camp. Zoe was separated from her parents, through the attack she only can grab a axe and one watter bottle, she ran until falter and them she realized that she was alone, she do not know the area neither any survivor..... now her only purpose is survive, find her parent and a safety place. Could she trust in somebody or fine good people to help her?

Your app looks great so far! There's just one little thing:
  • It isn't completely clear that you've read the lore. Your biography contains nothing directly relating to it. The most important thing to note is that we are currently 14 years into the apocalypse. It began in February 2015, and it is now September 2029 in-game.
    • After reading your biography, it seems as if you meant for Zoe to have grown up in the apocalypse. However, that isn't explicitly noted anywhere. She would have been 1 or 2 at the start, depending on when her birthday is.
    • Additionally, could you elaborate a bit more on what she's done for the past 14 years? It's a long time—there's a lot that can be done in that amount of time! You don't need to add much more. A few sentences will suffice.
    • You can read the lore here.
