Character Name
Hellspawn Mc. Smith-John (Monster Concept Art)
What sort of authorization do you want?
Lore Information
What lore information would you like to be authorized to know?
I've spent some time creating artbreeder, com mashups of lore monsters. Most of these were made following imagery provided by Mindgate and Lil_Bit, but there are some aspects added in that I thought looked freaky.
Is this all coolio to utilize in lore notes / bio stuff? Mostly for Monstrophist post-it notes, etc--as well as some RP pages taken from, presumably, Sterling's Monstrophist Compendium (Mindgate monster notes). There are a lot of these--just a head's up. And thank ya kindly in advance for looking through these. In any regard, they were pretty fun to tinker on.
Of final note: Despite the freakiness, no violent/gory images were used in the process.
Oddly enough?
Apparently, it's possible to create lawnmower dogs from drywall, deer, and refrigerators.

Above depicted: A Dogman, seemingly mangled post-shotgun (pipe bomb, clipping into a water tile corner whilst driving, etc.)--is quick to reform. By Photo 3, it's capable of running (limping), once more. Photo 4: The Dogmen promptly arrives to assault your hospitality, as you've not offered it enough Zippo fluid.

(This one is just a scooter melted into a cat. I'm not really sure what it is--but it's pretty fucking frightening)

Despite anything four-legged appearing a little too similar, Artbreeder-wise, this was one of the decent Infected Deer I'd managed to make. It's a buck, following lore, and presumably eroded beyond recognition, above the brows: Displaying a frightening 'ring-dome' for a head--as the antlers blend into the skull.

If perhaps sharing the Dogmen's nature, I'd imagine that Sowing Rubrum bucks might display their proliferation of legs. This one is a little too canine-looking, but the belly-base seemed to turn out pretty decent--especially around the lower chest. Neck looks like a llama's, though.

And then we have a fully-evolved Stumpy. Similar to The Dogman, perhaps other Red Eye variants might take on similar, white-on-black, midnight features. I'm still working on this one, too, as its fur is a little too fluffy. Regardless, being mauled by an outboard motor sounds pretty frightening.

Alpha Refrigerator:

I thought it'd be cool if some Dogmen grew 'skeletal coats.' All subject to approval, of course, but perhaps such a coat would make nighttime hunting incredibly effective: Essentially hiding a Dogman's size, number of insect-like appendages, etc. from potential prey.

Perhaps other Dogmen, upon reaching 'dire-phase,' might take on hunter-cat features. The mane, primarily. As for the snout: It was inspired by Hopi / Zuni Native American Nataska Katsinas in dance. Despite technically being Ogres, in myth, these Wolfmen-lookalikes were responsible for scaring the everliving shit out of children:

A more direct inspiration, especially for the first:

Wiharu white ogre. (Admittedly, the knife is not, in fact, a refrigerator.)

Since the first Dogmen encounter, I've really enjoyed their insectoid creepiness. I'm imagining something akin to The Thing, and I was pondering fanfiction about these creepy features, potentially, being effective hunting adaptations.
This is what I'd thought:
Younger Dog-folk aren't always discernable from their larger, alpha, counterparts. As such, perhaps some packs utilize 'appendage confusion' to hide their overall development as Nosferatu spiders. (Older dog-folk, of course, having plenty additonal limbs to hide. Perhaps the pups even warped their own features to appear spookier?)

Alpha, beta, alpha--respectively. I'd imagine seeing one of these things, at night, would be pretty terrifying. Despite the second Dog-machine having a longer, horselike tail--I figure this might be of advantage to the same, chameleon-esque hunter-packs. (Totally intended the tail. 100%)
The difficulty discerning 'Dog-pup' from 'Dog-You're-Done-For,' presumably, would be a major feat for any dedicated to hunting, banishing, or simply studying the creatures. As such, I've whipped up some potential Crow-fledgling tests for Flock newcomers seeking the path of Monstrophist:

Depending on your current, uhh, 'location of misfortune,' a Dogman's appearance might vary in clarity. To the left: Dogman in the Barrens. Far right: Deadlands Blender. The centerfold pics, presumably, would have been taken in infrared--so as to root out the literal roots, stems, weeds, and stalks which blend naturally into the canine's coat. As for the Deadland's pup--well, perhaps some misfortunes cannot be reclaimed with further bets upon one's life.
So: How many legs does it have?

This is sort of a given, simply based upon previous event descriptions, but: A Dogman, when in frontal assault, would likely be impossible to discern in terms of pack-maturity. In some cases (photo 2), the slim, ostrich-like body might even be mistaken for a tree.
Number of legs?

The converse also holds true: This is an alpha Dogman, during the daytime, displaying itself as a younger pack-member. That'd be an unfortunate surprise, to say the least.
This final one--it's a bit of a stretch. It was actually ideated based upon Lil_Bit's deer-infected, Stumpy. While Stumpy itself may not've utilized camoflage, I remember (vividly), the pulp it'd become after leaping through a window. Later on, I'd made note of something pretty dangerous, monster-hunting-wise:
These creatures, if capable, would likely be able to mesh into surrounding guts, rootwork, assorted debris, etc. to octopi potential victims.
Where Dogmen are considered, (again, this is a leap), what if this were utilized to create 'decoy' Dog-blenders from appendages? Sort of like The Thing--and all of those dog heads. In this case, however, perhaps the lawnmower-dog took full form:
What you'd see is this:

But what you'd get, instead, is Jumanji:
(Let's look closer)

(Closer)

(Last two)

The Xenomorph was unexpected. But, idk, I thought it looked pretty spooky in general.

These don't have much, uhh. Commentary. But I've been tinkering on them:

Jotun was particularly difficult to attempt. From lore-based descriptions and event notes, though, this was the best I could do: Jotun-salad
.

This is how I'd imagined C.M. Sterling

Behemoths of varying concepts. I liked how some were described to have retained bovine fur. Photo # 3, I'd thought, could be an infant Behemoth domesticated by Crows. Honestly, it's kind of cute. Photo #4 was a really cool Artbreeder find--and Photo #1 looks pretty fearsome.
Pretty sure Photo #2 is a bellybutton. Still looks cool, though.

The Deadlands: Mall

Leeches: Originally, I'd thought 'red.' Honestly, though, after art-breeding them with one of my personal beach fears (sandfleas), I thought the colors looked kind of wicked.
