Leon can be described as a man who tiptoes the lines between ruthlessness and ambition, willing to do whatever is necessary to see his goals through. He is not without morals however and dislikes harming innocents and outright refuses to harm children. Years of facing the apocalypse and the chaos it brings with it mostly alone has made him a solitary man who prefers being alone, only interacting with people if it benefits him in some way. He isn't a stranger to violence and has had more than his fair share since the old world ended. He is loyal to a fault, willing to lay down his own life for the very few he see's as brothers and sisters.
Character Motivations
Leon's primary goal is to just stay alive by any means necessary. Though he may not want to admit it he also wishes to see society return to normal one day, being so young when the outbreak happened stripped him of his childhood and he hopes one day that a new generation can thrive without the worry of death or disease, or wondering where their next meal will come from.
Physical Appearance
Leon is on the larger than average side standing at 6'2 and weighing roughly 200 pounds. He is quite active (as most people in the apocalypse are) and as such is in rather decent shape. He is black of hair with brown eyes and though he used to keep his hair short has since let it grow longer along with his beard. He is heavily tattooed with black ink running from his neck down as well as a few smaller tattoos on his face. Anyone who's survived the last 14 years likely has some scars but Leon has more than his fair share, the most noticeable being a horizontal one running along his throat.

Biography
Leon lived a relatively normal life of an inner city kid until he was 10. When the red eye flu hit Austin, Houston wasn't far behind. The first few days were bad but when riots began in many major cities things got worse. Leon's father had never been around much and was constantly in and out of prison for most of his life. He was serving a 14 year sentence for armed robbery among many other things when the outbreak happened and his 8th birthday would be the last time Leon had ever seen him. He and his mom tried to bunker down during many of the initial riots in Houston but it was only a matter of time before looting started and they were forced to flee their home. Some time passed and many things happened. Leon lost his mother to the infected roughly a year into the outbreak and was forced to get by on his own. Now located in the Waco area he settled in an abandoned ranch where he buried what remained of his mother.
Some more time passed and Leon was now 15. While maintaining some of the fencing that surrounded the ranch and kept the infected out he encountered a group of bikers enjoying a camp fire near his property line. The men exchanged goods and after a few days of food and drink convinced Leon to travel east with them to Virginia. Having been alone for so long he was hesitant at first but was easily persuaded by the men's father like figures as they taught him to be a man. Leon travelled with these bikers for years until roughly 6 months ago many of the groups members had a falling out over who would take over after the past leadership died in a shootout. Leon left rather than serve someone he despised. He left the Richmond area and headed North stopping in Washington, Philadelphia, and finally New York. He made his way to Buffalo and eventually Monroe county after talk from passerby's who claimed their were communities trying to rebuild.
Would you like your character to start with any items?
I feel it's fair to assume he'd have a decent amount of gear, though well worn from years of travel but I don't want to start out better than anyone else. Maybe a backpack, some food and water, winter clothing, and if possible a handgun though per the rules in bad shape and no ammo. Also possibly a blunt melee weapon like a bat.
Would you like your character to start with any skills?
Fitness +1 and strength +1 seem fair as he's survived the last 14 years in an apocalypse.
