Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
No
Age
34
Personality
Chris is typically quite the sensitive guy, and although not introverted in the sense that he wishes to be a hermit, more so rather that he enjoys his alone time when it is available. As a person he is typically both friendly, and amiable, and not prone to argue as he finds that there is little worth arguing about. Ultimately when it boils down to it, Chris is a simple guy with a creative mind, who prefers the peace of the country from that of the noise of the cities. It is a philosophy that one will either appreciate, or discredit, depending upon their own.
He has a very much live and let live persona. There are some things in the world that are beyond the everyman's control, but that does not stop one from having hope and making the world better for yourself, as well as those around you in simple ways, rather than always pursuing a nation-changing problem. An opponent to nihilism, such themes can be found in his works, which value simple living, as well as an overall positive outlook on life in general.
Physical Appearance
Chris is a Caucasian male standing at an average 5'10, sporting dirty blonde, lightish brown hair in compliment to a set of dark blue eyes; in addition, he typically lets his facial hair grow out to a stubble or light beard at times. He is healthy in body and in weight, making overall a relatively average appearance: he is no giant, neither is he emaciated, and is in all a rather nondescript individual, unless a fan were to recognize his face from his novels, that is.

Biography
Chris is not a native to San Antonio, nor Texas the state either. Chris, who later would take the moniker C.K. Landon, was born on April 24, 1985, in the sleepy suburbs of Astoria, a town located just north west of Portland along the coast. They happened to be a working class family, where his father was a miller for the local saw mill, and his mother (whose side of the family he credits much of his ability in writing), taught English at the town’s high school. Times were not always easy for the Landon family, however they had one another, and overall it was a simple life, and they were happy.
From his earliest memories he remembers exploring and taking in the sights and smells of the trees and nature nearby. When not appreciating the serenity of where they lived, he would often find himself in a book near the fireplace, and would burn through them as so. This would help him immensely in school, and he would go on to display immense talent and control over the English language. In other subjects, mathematics especially, he was not as naturally apt to, however he persevered and still manage to obtain successful grades in all, resulting in him receiving high honors at graduation, as well as obtaining the best English award in the school.
Although pressured from differing friends, family, and peers to pursue a variety of different majors— all presumably leading toward a life of King Midas— he stuck true to his heart and with the aid of scholarships was accepted into the University of Oregon under the declaration of English. The years passed just as they came and once more Chris found himself with a degree in hand, but a new path in life. Not liking the idea of a corporate position, in spite of the higher pay, Chris found himself working for various papers in Eugene as a writer, reporting on various events and writing humble opinion pieces on occasion.
For many years after he would work for the Eugene paper, while at the same time pursuing his master’s in his subject of choice. Throughout all this though, Chris would spend time writing for personal value. In between his work and study, there’d be little time for anything else, but in the time that he did have he would devote it to his fictional worlds and romanticized visions of the West and frontier. At the age of 26, one year following his master’s, he finished his first work: an adventure set in a fantastical world, in homage to some of his favorite writers. It would take another year however of editing before he finally deemed it fit to publish. Fortunately, as he worked in the writing business for so long, he was able to have friends in the kinship of publishing, which helped him greatly in the process.
The book was published to great success and critical acclaim, more so than Chris ever could have hoped or dreamed for. As well as his publisher. Soon both money, as well as demands flowed in for him to produce more works. Chris, both beaming and seeing the potential that it was not only possible, but within the grasp of pursuing his dream of becoming a writer, quit his job at the local paper, and began to write full time. With no more distractions in the way, his works began to flow at a steady pace, continuing the series from before alongside new additions to the genre, as well as some others branching off in spirit of frontier settlers, and a romanticized past.
Seven years following his breakout success as a writer, Chris found himself with the funds to continue on comfortably, as well as a fan base who yearned for more. Although not exalted as some of the greats from the past, nor was he necessarily a household name, he was popular enough to where avid book readers and fans of the genre likely knew his name, as well as his New York Times bestsellers. Yet, it was on one week in May that Chris travelled from his modest Astoria pine cabin to San Antonio to attend a writer’s convention, that everything changed for everyone.
The Fall happened so fast, that even Chris struggled to comprehend the sheer magnitude of what was going on. Even if the flights weren't all booked the airways were shut down and flights were being grounded, highways turned into parking lots, and city streets into anarchy. If it was luck that granted him his big break and earned him success in his writing career, then it was luck that saved him from certain death during those hours of crisis. Alongside the fleeing civilians, he wandered in and joined with the various convoys of refugee groups fleeing the city and into the countryside nearby.
As to what happens thereafter, the story has yet been told.
