Blood Type

Personality
Minerva has a subtly kind spirit, and it shows occasionally despite her generally closed off attitude. She is of the opinion that morality isn't absolute in the slightest, and every case is different. Theft is perfectly fine if you're robbing a bad person or an incredibly wealthy person. If she had modern education, she would likely be a socialist. Her main goal is to find a new group to live with. She is a smart young woman, though not educated in the traditional sense, as she was born only a few years prior to the outbreak. She enjoys being outside, and is somewhat claustrophobic when forced to spend time indoors. She often has nightmares, and wakes up motionless and in a cold sweat.
Character Motivations
Minerva lost her mothers several years ago during a bandit raid. They were on watch that night and were killed first. Her biological mother, Abigail, was the one to raise the alarm. Her stepmother, Persephone, was first to die but she died making sure Minerva got out of the camp alive. Since then, she has had very little contact with the Crows as a whole, spending most of her time surviving outdoors. She hopes to travel with them again soon.
Physical Appearance
Minerva is tallish, somewhat lanky, and rather rough in appearance. She's not ugly by any means, but she has a face that tends to blend in with a crowd. She has obviously seen her fair share of scrapes, as she has scars across her body, some from animal attacks and some from more human weaponry. She's got short black hair that she obviously cuts herself and bright green eyes. She is thin, with nimble fingers that seem well suited to delicate work.

Biography
Minerva Lee Cannon, referred to lovingly by her mothers as Minny was born to Abigail Cannon Boarshead and Connor Brooks Boarshead on April 12th, 2009. Her mother worked as a nursing assistant at the local emergency care unit, and her father was a high school math teacher. They weren't incredibly wealthy, but they lived happily. One day, Abigail discovered that Connor was having an affair. To make things worse, it was with a student of his. They divorced soon after. Abigail dropped the name Boarshead in favor of her maiden name, and after a few rough years living as a single mother, began dating again.
She soon met a doctor, Persephone Talley, and they fell in love quickly. Minerva was just starting daycare at this point, but loved her mothers new friend. After about a year of dating, the two married. It was a small affair, with immediate family and the very closest of friends in attendance. They honeymooned in Puerto Rico.
Of course, nothing good lasts forever. In 2016, the happy family began hearing rumors of a new disease that made people turn to bloodthirsty animals, and soon enough it was literally beating down their door. They ran.
Fast forward a few years and we find the family living with a small group of Crows. Abigail and Persephone give medical aid to the camps inhabitants as well as any who require it. They are happy still. As luck would have it, of course, this didn't last forever.
A few months after turning seventeen, there was an attack on their encampment. Bandits came in the dead of night with a fury that Minerva hadn't ever seen before. Abigail died first, as a bullet spattered her face across a tree she was leaning against to keep watch. Another round whizzed inches from Persephone's face. after a moment of shock, she screamed for help and the camp exploded in violence. Bandits rushed in with axes, machetes, guns, clubs, crossbows, crowbars... Anything that could be used to kill. In the chaos, Persephone managed to bring down a couple of the bandits and find Minerva.
A rushed hug, a kiss on the forehead, and a knife tucked into her hands. This is what Minerva remembers from her last goodbye with her stepmother. After that, the pair of them simply ran. Minerva doesn't quite remember when Persephone was brought down, but she heard the screams of pain and growling of the dogs. She couldn't bear to look.
