Character Name
Texas "Jimbo" Battle
I Agree
Yes
Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
No
Age
19
Blood Type
AB+
Personality
He can be easily portrayed as a self-centered, arrogant, competitive, stubborn and short-tempered youngster who is obsessed with athletics, videogames, movies and dogs. He appears to be air-headed, vain and dimwitted. He also acts macho and stresses himself to be as manly as possible. Despite his often antagonistic and foolish behavior he has a more sensitive and nice side which he tries to hide. (Succesfully most of the times.)
Character Motivations
Mainly the basic human instinct/will to survive. And a slight bit of hope in the back of his head that the world can still be saved from it's damnation.
Physical Appearance
A 6'9" gym-hittin' hunky with brown eyes and a black faux hawk haircut. (Or short hair. 'Cuz... Y'know. No fancy hairstyles in Project Zomboid.)
Character Image Link
Mechanical Occupation
A firefighter could suffice!
In-Character Occupation
Unemployed!
Biography
Son to a Native American mother and a black fisherman father from the great South of thick Cajun accents, Texas was, interestingly enough, born and raised in the Boston suburb of Brookline. Back when there wasn't an epidemic of flesh eating dead people, of course.
Texas (Or Tex, if you're fancy like that) is, to put it simply, is your regular funny talkin' hunky himbo from next door. At a young age, you could already just predict that he was going to be that. Had society not fallen before he reached his high school years, he could have been, well, you guessed it. The jock. However, as the years went by, and his stubbornness grew alongside him, he began taking up quite the amount of activities. Such as. Running from the dead. Carrying heavy bags of loot while running from the dead. Constantly hopping over fences while carrying heavy bags and while running from the dead.
He talks with mannerisms which mainly consist of pausing mid-sentence and filling the gaps with the words "er" and "uh". He also has a habit of callin' anyone he meets "bro" and/or "dude", no matter the gender. Seriously.
It's a problem he can't deal with. And a problem that no-one can explain how it came to pass.
In true sporty meathead fashion, he has always preferred hitting the gym that is now the whole world rather than hitting the books (Which he parents disapproved of. They spent so much time teachin' him in the darkness of their home!) Which in the end, resulted in him having some very nice-to-look-at pecs and biceps but also quite the number of gaps in his knowledge vessel. Although he does have his lil' dimwit moments, he's not mentally challenged. And weirdly enough not lazy when it comes to literally anything else. Particularly when it's related to the well-being of one's body. Behind all this dummy macho personality, I assure you, lies a very caring and sophisticated gentleman. Should the situation ever call for it.
As for the background of his initial survival and the current location/status of his parents... He'll either stay quiet, pretend he didn't hear the question or claim he doesn't know the answer. Whether or not that's true, you'll need him to warm up to you in order to find the truth yourself.
