If Julia had to be described in one trait-It would be patient. She has learned that most of the time slow and steady really does win the race in the case of a zombie apocalypse,especially when someone has to lay in grass motionless for 5 hours in order to avoid a zombie horde.She may seem slow to some people because of that,but she just does not like to rush things.
She is a bit stubborn when it comes to her beliefs and viewpoints about this world and the people in it.She thinks that her 'gut feeling' is always right when it comes to people,when it may often not be the case.
The woman is also generally pretty quiet,prefering to only speak when spoken to,unless it's absolutely necessary.
While coming across as cold and distant,she generally has a pretty kind heart,helping survivors she meets as much as she can if she has the supplies,within reason of course.
Character Motivations
Julia has one,simple goal-Survive without becoming a monster.She refuses to murder anyone for no reason,only doing so in self-defense,along with helping people who need it. When you lose your empathy and kindness,you might as well be a walking corpse,similar to the ones outside.
Physical Appearance
Julia is standing at about 5'7,a skinny build and a pale skin color.Her upturned,brown eyes are red from the lack of sleep,also visible by the bags and dark circles under them.
Her hair is short,cut into a bob,the strawberry blonde color dirtied and tattered into a light brown.Her chin is sharp and cheeks hollow, almost disguising the triangle shape of her face,dirtied by dirt and lack of cleaning.She also has a hooked-looking nose.
The woman's body is slender and frail-looking,a result of the starvation she had to face last and current year.She still has some muscles of course,but even her strength is weaker than before.The bended,yet somehow not that dirty glasses complete this rather sad look.
One abnormal thing to note about her are the scars.True,almost everyone has one at this point,but Julia has a lot more than the average Joe.There are about 3 on her face.An old one on her upper lip,probably caused by broken glass or a knife,a long scar that starts on her nose and ends near the left eye,and a fresh one on her forehead,medium length.
Other than that,there are plenty of bruises,scratches and cuts all over her body.The only significant one to mention would be a gunshot scar on the right side of her torso.

Biography
Julia's life before the apocalypse could be considered near perfect.Good parents,great friends,nice grades,basically all a teen could ask for.Sure,her parents did travel a lot,but they finally settled near New York,giving them the best jobs in a long time.
One thing that bothered her though,is people's lack of empathy for people they don't know,or don't care about.Several times in the big city she would witness a person lying motionless on the ground,bystanders just avoiding them as to not trip.Many times she would be the only one who would call for an ambulance,or make sure they are alright.If people were so ruthless to strangers...How would they react to their enemies?
She had the opportunity to become a lawyer,an engineer,a doctor...Yet out of all these jobs that would get her a lot more money and be a lot more easier...She chose to become a paramedic.
Her parents supported her,of course,but her friends were a lot more baffled as to why she would choose such a job.Julia's anwser was simple-She wanted to save lives.
Studying took a lot more time and effort than she expected,but nontheless she pressed on,determined to achieve what she promised to herself.
After some sleepless and stressfull nights she passed the training courses and the exams as well,getting the job at her city's hospital.
She worked hard and well,trying to save as much lives as possible.She has seen various injuries,ranging from car accident related to gunshot wounds. More often than not she and her co-workers managed to save them,but there were still plenty of cases where there was nothing to do... Sometimes wishing she could do more,even if it was impossible.
Such a responsible job required cooperation between others she worked with.Slowly but surely,relations began to form.Little things like remembering that Samara's son owned a pizzeria near the hospital,Jason was a great cook and Mary's wife baked the greatest pies in the city.Over time,they began to turn into good friendships,and Julia's second home became the hospital.
One day,they got a call about a bitten man shuffling around the city centre,causing general distress to the other citizens.Arriving at the scene and hurrying over to the man,he turned around to face her,exposing a horrifying truth...
The man was a walking corpse,his eyes lifeless and his skin pale as a corpse.He...No,it lunged towards her and she just stood there,paralyzed.
Mary put herself between the two,and she went down instead.The creature bit her in the neck,making her bleed out in seconds.She could only run to the ambulance as the screams intensified...She couldn't remember much after,only the ambulance crashing into something and more screaming.When she woke up,all of her friends were dead,and she was extremly injured.Crawling to the nearby medkit and patching her wounds,she barely survived the first hour of the outbreak.
And so she wandered,for years,barely surviving.She joined many groups and factions,and has seen the fall or disbanding of them all.She has seen people kill each other over the slightest of things,stealing from the poor,and mutilate each other so many times...It sadly became common for her to witness those things.Becoming more careful of others around her,but still not losing her empathy,she continued to wander aimlessly around the nearby towns.While hiding away from a group of raiders in a house,she heard them talking out loud about some place called Monroe County.Supposedly,it had ,she has heard of a place called Monroe County,that was to the north of her current location.Apparently it had more supplies than most areas...And settlements that have lasted for a rather long time.It could all be rumors,but what choice did she have?Arriving to it's outskirts injured and starving,she has to make her place in this world,or die trying.

A hunting knife,water bottle.Also sorry if this is the bad place to ask but can my charachter start with some bandaged scratches on her body?Fine if that's not possible.
