1. 12:30 AM Cascade
Hey, does anyone know how we're doing radios this lore?
2. 1:21 AM MindGate
Don't know. I really hope we don't use the mech ones exclusively though. Much prefer using *R* in smaller doses.
3. 6:44 AM Pika
We're doing them the same way as last lore, so *R* in global but you can use mech radios if you want
4. 10:10 AM CuteZombieGirl
   good morning peeps
5. 10:12 AM Tucker
   WOOT WOOT WOOOOOOT
6. 11:48 AM harperers
i liked it when we only used R for listing a mech channel
7. 12:22 PM Cascade
Yeah I actually sorta dug that too. But I'm down with whatever tbh
8. 1:26 PM Pika
The mech radios aren't super reliable, but you can still do that!
9. 1:26 PM Pika
Just dont have long conversations over global
10. 1:31 PM Cascade
    ye
11. A 1:58 PM AlexDE12
    as a heads up
12. A 2:00 PM AlexDE12
radios do work. But if you want it to register in the chat log you need to hold it in your hands. Same goes for HAM radios, but that kinda defeats it's porpuse
13. 2:26 PM Pika
Yeah it's super annoying when it doesn't log the messages
14. A 2:32 PM AlexDE12
basically, if you use a HAM radio try to make short messages... or *R* really
15. 3:32 PM harperers
i feel like the unreliability of mech radios is a plus
16. 3:32 PM harperers
since radios in real life arent reliable
17. 3:32 PM Pika
    True
18. 3:32 PM Pika
You're all free to use whatever
19. 3:32 PM harperers
that just means people will use whatever is easiest though
20. 3:33 PM harperers
i guess its fine for now
21. A 3:38 PM AlexDE12
truth be told most people will use HAM radios or walkie talkies for private channels anyways
22. 4:13 PM harperers
i mainly hate it when people use it trying to call out for a specific person
23. 4:13 PM harperers
and instead of switching to a mech radio they continue talking

7. 9:03 PM Spartacus96
   *sorry meant these NPC's
8. 9:35 PM Pika
There's a bunch of different types of NPCs. Some are redshirts with are separated in two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 are generic NPCs with a first name and a story who can perform basic tasks. Tier 2 are NPCs with full names, fleshed out backstories, and who can interact with their groups. Other NPCs may be reoccurring characters in events to add some depth to the lore. I guess you could consider them Tier 3 NPCs? though theyre different than the others

Donations News and Ideas for donations

As you may have gathered or heard, we are switching to a monthly donation model. This means that the perks you get will be monthly. From a back end perspective, you will continue to have a donator badge forever. However, we will have multiple donator badges. Some add perks, others do not. For...

Final Descent post hasn't been posted on Reddit. And I'd recommend creating an Instagram account instead of Facebook/Twitter.
3. 12:08 PM Legion
Instead of? Between Facebook and Twitter, there are 2.6 Billion registered users. Instagram has about 1 Billion. Not sure "instead of" is proper. Also would likely fit better and is something we will likely do.

Sorry was in class, I meant in addition to Facebook/Twitter since it uses the same posting format.

Something new.... player involvement for the world outside of the lore

So I have been thinking about ways on giving players a more hands on feel with the creation of the lore, while leaving the lore the characters see to the admin team. Think of it as adding flavor to the world. The idea I came up with is that players, you all, could create pieces of lore that...

6. 9:04 PM Legion
I have tested anims in an MP setting on the side as well as talked with other server ownrs for some of the very large PVP/PVE communities. I can say with confidence, the anims branch in MP is prone to major issues that would likely result in many map and save corruptions
7. 9:05 PM Legion
That said... Donations. I know I say it a lot but the time is near to pay the monthly bill and as per usual, we are once again short. Any donations before the end of the month would be greatly appreciated

TONIGHT is the launch of our mini lore! It's starting at 7:30 EST. We'll be starting off in the air, just before the crash. We won't begin the crash until half an hour or so after the launch (~8:00 EST) to give everyone time to log on and get their characters set up.
8. 2:21 PM Pika
In a couple of hours, everyone who was accepted will be sent a PM here describing the injuries your character received during the crash. You will also be given a post-it containing the same information once the plane has crashed, just in case you forgot your injuries or did not get a PM.
9. 2:21 PM Pika
Please do not attempt to log in before 7:30 EST. We whitelist players shortly beforehand as part of the initial setup. If you try to log on before the launch time, you will be kicked and warned. Your login info was provided in your application's acceptance message.

   The future of this community

I have been doing a lot of reflecting lately. Over the last few months we have seen a steady decline in membership. I have a question about the characters of the "Final Descent" What happens to them?
2. 4:38 PM Spartacus96
Or is it up to the user (I) for interpretation what happens to the character.
3. 6:52 PM Bezz
Unfortunately, due to having to cut the lore short, it would only be up to the player's interpretation.
4. 6:54 PM Spartacus96
Hmmm okay, Was thinking about updating my Character biography. Wanted to know the route i had to go, I could in theory say he survived floating on a raft perhaps?

and the simulation is cut short when the character somehow wakes from his headgear that simulated the crash and flight, to find out he is in a top secret government facility and has to escape.
